Ruvi cave in Minglanilla offers a great place to relax with friends and family and only a short ride from the town proper of Minglanilla town. Its also a rather quiet resort that like many are best to go midweek when everyone is at work!
The pool areas are the main reason people head to Ruvi Cave as well as its convenient location and easy access from Cebu city and Minglanilla itself.
Entrance is reasonably priced at around P100 last time I visited as well as the resort being extremely clean. The staff are welcoming and you can park your vehicles in the safety of the resorts own car park.
There is also accommodation available on the site and I believe that the resort even has some long-term residents here. So if looking to stay long term in the Philippines it may pay to rent a place inside the resort and negotiate a lower rental rate. I am hoping the weather clears up as I am looking forward to taking the family to Ruvi cave in the next week.
When I heard there was a “Cave” I assumed a natural cave but it seems that Ruvi cave is more of a gimmick for people staying at the resort and to be honest it works well. The different shapes makes the resort more interesting and not bland.
The pools are big enough to keep any family occupied and even amongst friends hiring a cottage your sure to have a good day at Ruvi Cave.
The children’s pool as you can see offers shallower water and easy to supervise kids by taking one of the huts near the side of the pool.
The Accommodation at Ruvi cave is also reasonably priced and I do recommend if your going to be at the resort all day its worth booking a room for an afternoon nap. Also means if you wanted to go into Minglanilla or explore the area you can leave your stuff safe and secure in a room. It also gives you somewhere private to shower and eat.
I had originally gone to Ruvi cave in Minglanilla looking for something else but the staff were extremely helpful and offered to show me around. The resort isn’t hard to find and you can get the KMK bus along to Tungkop then take a tricycle from the main road right to the resort gates. The main road see’s regular jeepney routes as well as the buses to the main South depot in Cebu regularly passing so access is no problem.
Just remember to bring your swimming stuff as I am sure you will have a great fun day out!
